Brief job description;
To develop and strengthen new and existing corporate business
opportunities for these London Gatwick Hotels and Conference Centres in order to increase market share and yield in line with the budget.
With people management responsibility for the Hotel sales team and functions including Corporate sales , Meetings and Events and other sales functions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To develop the venues as premiere hotels, in the midst of fierce competition from existing hotels . To deliver the hotels Sales and corporate revenue expectations in line with budget along with the other sales Team members.
2. To be responsible for Sales team members in order to achieve the hotels budgeted revenue in terms of:- Productivity, training & development, recruiting & disciplining and personal development reviews.
3. To provide total direction to other members of sales team , both Corporate and Meetings and Events and to take on personal Corporate Sales Management responsibilities whenever this is appropriate.
4. To create sales initiatives to drive business into the hotel predominantly from the corporate market segment.
5. To complete implementation of, and thereafter to maintain the companys Sales Account Management Processes.
6. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the CRS system and GDS system.
7. To develop a team atmosphere within the department and build up relationships with additional departments within the hotel. Develop a close working relationship with all operating departments within the hotels.
8. To champion the hotels RFP Process / Rate negotiations, according to Rate Structure and Guidelines laid out.
9. To champion the hotels rate loading process and to ensure that regular audits are undertaken for all key accounts.
10. To maintain and develop existing clients to achieve optimum Market Share and Yield.
11. Maintain product knowledge at all times including all relevant rate structures and promotional offers.
12. To plan and execute sales trips in line with the Sales and Marketing Plan, both National and International.
13. To attend major functions and trade fairs to promote the hotel in line with the Sales and Marketing Plan
14. To ensure training needs of sales staff is identified and programmes implemented to meet these needs.
15. Create and formulate the Sales and Marketing Plan.
Skills required:
*Proven track record in Hotel sales. Ideally you will have previously held the position of Hotel Sales Director , Hotel Corporate Sales Manager or a related Hotel sales role.
*Record of achieving results in Hotel / Hospitality / Travel sector.
* Used to working towards Sales Targets .
*People Management experience.
*Business and Commercial awareness.
*Drive , determination and enthusiasm.
*Outgoing and confident with powerful presence.
*Strong presentation skills.
*Ability to communicate at all levels.
*Good team player
