Team Business Development



Overall Purpose of Role:



To provide market knowledge, relationships, experience, evangelism, and internal leadership ensuring the Payments Team can implement market leading payments capabilities for our client.



To work with all companies and teams to understand the wider payments market and drivers, and implement the appropriate technologies, tools, and interfaces to enable the Payments Team to deliver an agile, reliable, scalable, and effective Payments system



Responsibilities / Accountabilities:



Be the primary authority and evangelist for all business development activities and initiatives within the Payments field



Think strategically and innovatively, measure effectively, and create opportunities for the Payments Team.



Ultimately responsible for the new business activities of the Payments Team.



Mentor less experienced employees or teams.



Create and promote enterprise business development metrics and standards.



Provide industry consultation within the company.



Produce appropriate documentation and make it available to stakeholders.



Liaise with all teams to implement an effective end-to-end payments enterprise architecture.



Coordinate the definition of our future-state capabilities for defined payments initiatives.



Is a major stakeholder in the documentation of the ‘Payments road map' to deliver the future state and assists with project selection in order to accelerate the enterprise's evolution.



Provides education to technical and non-technical team members regarding the business value of key payments concepts.



Requires significant interaction, coordination and facilitation at multiple levels of technical and business management within a complex technology environment.



Participation in the management and governance of standards, blueprints, and strategies, with specific focus on agility and effectiveness.



Skills / Experience Required:



Has deep industry experience, energy, integrity, tenacity, great communication skills, leads by example, promotes pro-activity, has attention to detail, and has a great work ethic.



Fosters innovative thinking, and promotes the need for responsiveness, accountability, and effectiveness within the team.
